Marine Invertebrate Larvae in Hong Kong Waters
Hong Kong experiences strong seasonal variation due to the monsoon weather pattern. This results in a wet season (June - August) dominated by strong precipitation and a dry season (October - December) characterized by reduced precipitation.

The variation in physical factors, such as precipitation and temperature, can alter the distribution and abundance of zooplankton in the water column.
Data Files

Below you will find four data files from the same station in Port Shelter during our sampling period. Two are from the dry season and two are from the wet season. The data are measured from a vertical Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) cast from the surface to the bottom which measures temperature and salinity at every 0.5 meter interval.
